Webster Man Arrested for Stealing Hoverboards, Chainsaw from Walmart

WEST BOYLSTON – A 33-year-old Webster man was arrested over the weekend for stealing more than $2,000 of merchandise from the Walmart in West Boylston.

Among the merchandise stolen included hoverboards, printers, a chain saw, and other tools and clothing items. 

According to the West Boylston Police Dept., Nicholas Albright was arrested on Saturday, Sept. 21, after being followed by police to a residence in town.

Surveillance was set up, and Albright was subsequently arrested.

West Boylston PD said that on Sunday, Sept. 15, Albright left the Walmart with the items by cutting open the store’s garden center door with bolt cutters. Surveillance video showed Albright loading a parked red Ford Mustang with the stolen merchandise.

Albright was charged with Larceny from a Building over $1200, Receiving Stolen Property, and Destruction of Property.

A large portion of the stolen goods were recovered. Albright was detained at the West Boylston PD for the weekend, and arraigned in Clinton District Court on Monday, Sept. 23. 

Albright also has known addresses in West Boylston and South Carolina.
