WEBSTER – Two robberies at the same 7/11 convenience store, just 10 days apart, led to the arrest of Kyle Brinkley, 24, of Webster, for unarmed robbery.
Brinkley’s home address is around one mile from the 7/11 store.
On Tuesday, August 18, an individual entered the 7/11 at 95 Main St. around 3 AM, and handed the clerk a paper note.
That note claimed the individual as in possession of a firearm and demanded money from the register.
The clerk feared for her life and complied with the demand in the note.
An investigation by Webster Police did not lead to a suspect.
On Monday, August 28, around 2:30 AM, the same an individual walked into the same 7/11 and again handed the clerk a note.
Detectives with the Webster Police Department were investigating the crimes separately, but discovered several similarities between the two incidents.
That investigation led to Brinkley, who faces a charge of Unarmed Robbery for the incident on August 28 and Armed Robbery for the incident on August 18.
Brinkley’s arraignment at Dudley District has taken place. He was released on $5,000 bond.
