WORCESTER – As a heat wave continues in Worcester, with temperatures reaching the low to mid 90s from now through the weekend, the City of Worcester is helping residents to stay cool.
The city’s municipal and state beaches and spray parks—with the exceptions of Indian Lake Beach, Coes Pond Beach and East Park Spray Park—are open to the public every day from 11 AM to 7 PM. A full list of locations can be found here.
The Worcester Public Library’s seven branches throughout the city are also welcoming residents to come inside and cool off. The Main Branch at 3 Salem Sq. is open Friday to Monday from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Locations and hours for all branches can be found here.
The Worcester Senior Center will also be open to the public from 9 AM to 8 PM on Friday.
