WORCESTER – The Worcester Historical Museum hosts a month-long celebration of Worcester’s history with free admission and events throughout February. Located at 30 Elm Street and Salisbury Mansion, 40 Highland Street, the museum has a lineup of activities suitable for all ages and interests.
Events include:
- Valentine for Vets – Saturday, February 3 -Drop into the Museum and create a valentine for a veteran. We’ll deliver all cards to Worcester’s Veterans Inc.
- Celebrate t he legacy of Marshall “Major” Taylor, “The Worcester Whirlwind”, join us on February 5 for a presentation titled the “Greatest Athlete of All Times” with Filmmaker Cyrill Vincent, director and producer of this groundbreaking documentary film exploring Mayor Taylor’s life.
- Salisbury Mansion “Winter in New England” tours offered on Thursdays at 2pm
- Celebrate Worcester’s 176th Anniversary of Worcester becoming a city on February 29 by submitting photos t hat capture the essence of Worcester – our neighborhoods, residents, open

In addition, guests can enjoy educational “Fuller Fridays,” Esther Howland’s Valentine Workshops, themed craft workshops during school vacation week, Saturday history shorts, and much more.
The Worcester Historical Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. The library is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Salisbury Mansion, at 40 Highland St., is open Thursday through Saturday from 1 PM to 4 PM.
