WORCESTER – Just after 7 PM on Saturday night, July 16, Worcester police officers responded to a report of a ShotSpotter activation near Cambridge Street.On their way to the scene, officers were informed that someone had reported a gunshot victim.
When they arrived, officers found a 41-year-old female gunshot victim. An ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A second gunshot victim was also at the scene with less serious wounds. She was also transported to a local hospital.
Worcester Police detectives are investigating the shooting.
