Worcester Holds Landlord Summit at DCU Center on Saturday

WORCESTER – The City of Worcester Housing Development Division and the Realtor Association of Central Massachusetts its annual Landlord Summit on Saturday, March 9, at the DCU Center.

The summit is intended for rental property owners and those interested in investing in rental properties. City Manager Eric Batista, Mayor Joe Petty, and the heads of various city departments, and other subject matter experts are scheduled to speak at the event. 

The event covers topics that include:

  • Owning a Historic Property;
  • Fire Prevention
  • Working successfully with public service agencies,
  • Healthy Housing and Deleading
  • Housing Grant Programs

The event will also be the launch of the city’s Rental Registration Program. The program requires all owners of residential rental property to register each unit with the city. Batista and Inspectional Services Commissioner Christopher Spencer will review the program requirements and property owners will be able to register their properties at the event.

There is no cost to attend the event, which runs from 9 AM to 1 PM, but registration is required. Attendees also receive free admission to the 2024 Home Show, which is also at the DCU Center on Saturday.

Attendees should use door 2 to enter the building and take the escalator to the 3rd floor.
