WORCESTER – Hourly service on weekdays is returning to the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail line with the MBTA’s new fall/winter schedule starting Oct. 17.
Trains that were removed from the schedule to make way for construction related to the Worcester Union Station Improvement project will return. According to Keolis, the MBTA’s operating partner for Commuter Rail, construction has progressed to a point where these trains can be restored.
Trains will leave Worcester starting on weekdays at 4:15 AM. The last train leaves for South Station in Boston from Union Station at 10:25 PM.
The Heart to Hub express inbound and outbound trains connecting Worcester to Boston will stay on the schedule. Heart to Hub leaves Union Station at 6:30 AM and arrives at South Station at 7:35 AM. The outbound train from South Station departs at 4:55 PM and arrives in Worcester at 5 PM.
