WORCESTER – The City of Worcester announced the Worcester Preservation Awards Wednesday, May 15, at the Salisbury House, at 61 Harvard St. in Worcester. The event begins at 6:30 PM.
presented by Preservation Worcester and the Worcester Historical Commission, the event highlights the historic preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration projects in Worcester.
Awards will be presented for the following projects:
Commercial Rehabilitation:
- Mission Chapel – 205 Summer St.
- Walker Shoe Factory – 82 Water St.
Community Partnership:
- The Worcester Black History Trail
Compatible Construction:
- The Worcester Art Museum’s Lancaster Plaza
Merit:
- The Green Hill Park Arboretum
Residential Rehabilitation:
- William A. & Ella M. Warden House – 7 Circuit Ave. East
Stewardship:
- Dr. Robert H. Goddard Birthplace –1 Tallawanda Dr.
- Jessie M. & George D. Moore House – 201 Salisbury St.
