Worcester Winter Parking Ban in Effect at 6 PM on Wednesday

 by TWIW StaffFebruary 27, 2019

WORCESTER - A Declared Winter Parking Ban will be in effect on Weds., Feb. 27 at 6 PM.

Due to the current weather forecast calling for two to four inches of snow to fall in the city, the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks has called for the parking ban. During the ban, there is no parking on either side of main arteries, bus routes and streets in the downtown area.

On all other streets, parking is only permitted on the odd numbered side of the street -- unless otherwise posted.

City of Worcester Public Parking Garages will be open for parking free of charge from the beginning of the parking ban until Thursday, Feb. 28 at 10 AM (Event parking rates still apply).

Parking enforcement—including ticketing and towing—will be active during the Declared Winter Parking Ban.
