WORCESTER – Shots fired around Stanton Street on Saturday, April 2, brought officers to investigate around noon. Officers determined the suspects fled in a black Jeep with a white sticker on its rear.
Less than three hours later, a Worcester Police sergeant saw a black Jeep go through a stop sign at Endicott Street and Harding Street. The sergeant noticed it also had a white sticker on the rear and engaged a traffic stop and spoke with the 17-year-old driver and 15-year-old passenger just before 3 AM.
The 17-year-old driver did not have a license to operate a motor vehicle. Officers located marijuana, alcohol, and a loaded firearm in the vehicle.
The 17-year-old driver faces charges of:
- Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle; and
- Minor Transporting Alcohol
The 15-year-old passenger faces charges of:
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm;
- Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device;
- Possession of Ammunition;
- Improperly Storing a Firearm Near a Minor;
- Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute; and
- Minor Transporting Alcohol.
