President and CEO of Eastern States Exposition Gene Cassidy announced on Monday the cancellation of the 2020 Big E Fair.
Cassidy said that despite extensive planning, the Big E experience would not be the same as years past.
The Big E has been put on hold before. During World War I the fair did not take place. During World War II, the Fair was put off five straight years.
