WORCESTER – A multi-agency law enforcement task force investigation led to the arrest of a local woman for drug trafficking in Worcester on Friday, April 19.
According to the Worcester Police Department (WPD), the task force that included the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Massachusetts State Police, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, and a Worcester Police officer assigned to the task force. The task force engaged in a joint investigation with the US Postal Inspection Service.
WPD says that investigation led to a vehicle being stopped on Vernon Street on Friday. Inside that car, officers discovered a large amount of what they say appeared to be cocaine. The driver, Yeimy Holguin, 32, of Worcester, was arrested.
Holguin faces charges for Trafficking in a Class B Substance over 200 Grams.
