Coney Island Launches Fundraiser for Employee Who Lost Home in Fire

Longtime George’s Coney Island employee Buki lost her home last week following a two-alarm fire on Northboro St. in Worcester.

Buki has been working at Coney Island for 20 years and the Coney Island staff and family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help her recoup some of her financial losses.

According to the fundraiser, Buki and her family members lost countless belongings to the fire.

The GoFundMe was launched over the weekend with a $10,000 goal. As of early Monday morning, the campaign had already raised more than $7,000.
