WORCESTER – The nationwide passenger railroad service Amtrak — with a Lake Shore Limited passenger line station at Worcester’s Union Station – is having a buy one, get one flash sale on roomettes and bedroom cart fares from Tuesday, October 8 to Monday, Oct. 14.
During the next seven days, you can get a free companion fare — buy one, get one free — valid for travel Nov. 11, 2019 – April 8, 2020.
“Recognizing the need to get more out of every moment, we wanted to offer our customers a truly unique way to experience the country,” said Amtrak President and CEO Richard Anderson. “With our sleeper sale, customers can share the experience while taking in some of the best views and sightseeing opportunities the United States has to offer.”
While aboard the Amtrak train, customers can move around the train, visit the cafe car for beverages or snacks and relax in a private room.
Riders can take an Amtrak train or commuter rail from Worcester to Boston to connect to 12 routes and travel to cities like Chicago, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and even as far west as Seattle.
Here’s how it works:
- When one person purchases a roomette or bedroom, a friend or loved can join them for free.
- All prices will be automatically discounted from the standard fare price. Customers must use discount code V550 or click here — prices are as shown and can’t be combined with other discount codes.
- Blackout dates: Nov. 21, 2019 – Dec. 3, 2019; Dec. 21, 2019 – Dec. 23, 2019; Dec. 27, 2019 – Jan. 3, 2020
- This offer is valid for one free companion rail fare traveling in the same roomette, bedroom or family room with the purchase of one regular full adult fare. The free companion and full fare passengers must travel together in the same room and reserve in the same reservation.
