WORCESTER – The city’s only Jeopardy! champion is returning to the classic game show this week.
Worcester native Brendan Sargent will appear as a contestant in Jeopardy!’s “Champions Wild Card Tournament” on Thursday, Oct. 5. at 7:30 PM [EST]. The program airs on CBS (Ch. 4) in the Worcester area.
Sargent made his first appearance on Jeopardy! back in March 2021. He won $9,600 in his two appearances in 2021, becoming Worcester’s only Jeopardy! champion.
In August 2023, Sargent appeared on Game Show Network’s Master Minds, winning two games and becoming a “Master Mind.”
Sargent, 34, is a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury and Fairfield University. For the past several years, Sargent has been living in Los Angeles with his wife, Lauren. He is the owner and founder of Lucky Guess Trivia, a live trivia game hosted at bars and restaurants in the Los Angeles area.
