WORCESTER – The Burncoat High School Spirit Team, including the Burncoat Dance Team and the Pep Band, is hosting a fundraiser on November 17, 2023 at Luciano’s at Union Station.
Funds raised at the event will support the team’s participation in the Universal Dance Association National High School Dance Team Championships in Orlando, Florida, scheduled for February 2-4, 2024.
The Spirit Team is preparing for their fifth championship appearance, competing in Small Varsity Jazz, Hip Hop, JV Pom, and Game Day live categories. In a historic first, the BHS Pep Band will join the dance team in the Game Day Live division, a debut for the program and the only team from the Northeast.
The team’s current objective is to send 60 students to the national competition, with a fundraising goal of $96,000.
The fundraiser includes a fashion show orchestrated by Karon Shea Model Management. The event is expected to match the excitement of top-tier designer shows while supporting the Spirit Team’s journey to national recognition.
