WORCESTER – Police arrested two teens involved in a fight at Central Mass Collaborative School on Higgins Street on Thursday, January 13.
Police responded to the school at around 1:30 PM in response to a report of a disorderly person. While at the school, an administrator informed the officers of an unrelated, ongoing fight.
The fight was broken up before officers arrived at its location, but learned a 14-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy kicked a 14-year-old victim in the head. The victim received treatment from EMTs called to the scene.
The 14-year-old boy ran into the nearby woods for a time, but reemerged a short time after. When police approached him, the boy pushed an officer. Officers took the boy to the ground and arrested him.
The 17-year-old boy saw this happening and rushed at police, then engaged in a struggled. He was also arrested.
The 14-year-old boy faces charges of:
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot)
- Assault and Battery
- Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
- Resisting Arrest.
The 17-year-old is charged with:
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot)
- Assault and Battery
- Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
- Interfering with a Police Investigation
- Resisting Arrest.
