WORCESTER – The Worcester Police are investigating a pair of shootings after arresting two Worcester men on Coes St. early Wednesday morning.
According to the WPD, officers responded to the area of Buffum St. and Coes St. around 2:30 AM after a ShotSpotter activation.
When officers arrived to the area, they heard gunshots coming from inside a dwelling on Coes St. followed by a number of individuals running out of the dwelling.
Officers found two gunshot victims and police rendered aid until Worcester EMS arrived. They were rushed to a hospital for their injuries.
During the shooting investigation, two individuals were arrested.
John Guzman 103 Illinois Street, Worcester was charged with:
- two counts of Assault and Battery by Gun
- two counts of Armed Assault to Murder
- Use of a Firearm in A Felony
- Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling
- Possession of a Firearm without an FID card
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
- Possession of a large Capacity Feeding Device
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm without a License.
Jacob Rosa, 21 Coes Street Worcester, was charged with:
- Improperly Storing a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card
- Possession of Ammunition without and FID Card
Officers recovered two firearms from the scene that were collected as evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
