Jose Lopez Rosado, a 51-year-old Worcester man, has been sentenced to six month in prison.

Rosado pleaded guilty to false representation of a Social Security number and aggravated identity theft in August.

He will serve the six month federal sentence concurrent with his sentence in Massachusetts for 9-10 years for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. He’ll also serve another two years consecutive to his state sentence and two years of supervised release.

Court documents also revealed that Rosado escaped from a Puerto Rico prison in 1994 while serving 30-years for second degree murder.

Rosado was arrested in July 2018 in an investigation called “Double Trouble” led by the Department of Homeland Security’s Document and Benefit Fraud Task Force that included state and local law enforcement.

That investigation led to 25 people being accused of document and benefit fraud.
