YWCA Central Massachusetts hosts the first of three candidate forums at its Salem Square location in Worcester on Wednesday, October 13, at 6 PM.
The first event hosts candidates for City Council At-Large. Mayor Joseph Petty, Thu Nguyen, Kate Toomey, Matthew Walley, Krystian King, Guillermo Creamer and Bill Coleman are taking part.
The topics of discussion range from affordable housing, policing, and zero-fare transit, all through the lens of racial or gender equity.
The forums have limited in-person attendance with masks required. The event will also live stream on Facebook.
The next forum hosts candidates for City Council District seats on Thursday, October 14. School Committee candidates join in a forum on Wednesday, October 20.
