FITCHBURG – The office of Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early Jr. is investigating the death of a Fitchburg stabbing victim after the office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.
Investigators believe Gadiel Maria, 18, of Fitchburg, was stabbed during an altercation near Spruce Street and Salem Street in Fitchburg, before midnight on Friday, March 18. Maria then drove himself to another location before being transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Fitchburg Police Detectives and State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office continue to investigate.
