Recycling Brochure Being Sent to Worcester Residents

In the coming weeks, around 53,000 homes in Worcester will receive a recycling brochure from the City of Worcester’s DPW on the “Dos” and “Don’ts” of recycling in the city.

The brochures are a component of the City’s Comprehensive Clean City program. The brochures will be available in several languages.

Public Meetings Scheduled to Discuss City’s Open Space Plan

There are five meeting scheduled next month to discuss the City’s Open Space and Recreation Plan.

These hearings will update the public on what has been received by the DPW from the initial meetings, a park survey and other communications submitted to the City.

Deadline to Submit RFP to United Way is Today

The deadline to submit a request for proposal [RFP] to United Way of Central Massachusetts for funding for a women’s initiative program is today.

Women’s Initiative of the United Way of Central Massachusetts focuses on building, strengthening, and supporting the development of confident and safe girls. Specifically, the programs must have a primary goal to prevent and reduce violence in the lives of girls ages 10-14 within United Way’s 30-town service area.

 

Pine Ridge Golf Course is Offering a Ridiculous Deal

As part of their 50th Anniversary, Pine Ridge is offering a whopper of a deal: just $49 per year for unlimited golf.

The golf course — located in Oxford — is giving out three-year memberships for a total of $177 ($49 per year plus fees) for a limited-time only.
