WORCESTER- As COVID-19 cases surge in Worcester County, a number of local businesses are making efforts to give back to front line workers, including Quinn’s Irish Pub on West Boylston St.

Owner Tim Quinn announced his “Food for the Front Line”program, of which local businesses and organizations can sponsor a lunch or dinner for those on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic — hospital workers, first responders, residential and group home staff, and other healthcare personnel.

Sponsorship amounts vary from $250, $500, or $1,000, and can be sent anywhere the sponsor decides. The sponsorship covers meals between $10 to $12 per person.

Quinn told ThisWeekinWorcester.com, “We have people saying that they want to help out or donate and don’t know how to go about it.”

“Business owners feel this is a great way to give back,” he added.

Quinn’s will also be offering a business spotlight on social media as recognition for each sponsor’s generosity.

Businesses interested in sponsoring can call (508)-459-2025.
