WORCESTER – The Worcester Tercentennial Weekend starts Friday night with events through Sunday. Events are free, but some require tickets. Details for all events are below.

Municipal lots and garages in downtown Worcester are free for those attending Tercentennial events. A map of parking lots and addresses are available here.

Significant parking restrictions and closed roads will be in place on Saturday. See traffic and parking advisory information here.

Friday, June 10 6 PM to 10 PM

Tercentennial Weekend Kickoff

Canal District Stroll and Polar Park Fireworks featuring Ricky Duran

Admission to the Polar Park Fireworks requires free tickets, available through the WooSox Ticket Office.

Ticket office hours on Friday: 9 AM to 5 PM

Tickets are also available online or by calling (508) 500-888 to reserve tickets. Only standing-room-only tickets remain.

Saturday, June 11

Worcester Tercentennial 5K Road Race

Saturday: 9 AM -10:30 AM

The Tercentennial 5K Road Race begins and ends at Mechanic Street and Commercial Street, across from Mercantile Plaza.

Registration is required. The cost to register is $33 on June 10 or $35 on June 11.

Each registrant receives a t-shirt and race number which can be picked up at the start of the race between 8 AM and 9 AM on Saturday.

Runners are encouraged to park at the Union Station Parking lot at 225 Franklin Street. Directions are available here.

Worcester Tercentennial Parade

Saturday: 11 AM

The Tercentennial Parade starts at Grove Street and Faraday Street. The best viewing area for spectators will be on Main Street between School Street and City Hall.

Worcester Tercentennial Community Festival

Saturday: 12 PM to 5 PM

The Tercentennial Festival takes place at the Worcester Common and the surrounding area and features over 200 local vendors and merchants along with food, music, street performers, crafts and more.

There will also be dozens of local non-profit and businesses represented.

Sunday June 12

Tercentennial Family Outing at the Worcester Bravehearts

Sunday: 1 PM at Fitton Field (Time changed from 4 PM to 1 PM due to expected weather)

The Bravehearts host the New Britain Bees on Sunday with first pitch at 4 PM at Fitton Field at Holy Cross.

Visit the Bravehearts site here and use password “Tercentennial” to reserve free tickets.

Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra with Special Guest Brian McKnight

Sunday: 4 PM at DCU Center

The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Brian McKnight, at the DCU Center at 50 Foster Street.

Reserve tickets online through Ticketmaster for no charge and no fee.
