WORCESTER – District five City Councilor Etel Haxhiaj, reported a disturbance at her home to police Friday evening, which included a baseball thrown at a window and election signs vandalized on the property.
Haxhiaj later used social media to post about the incident
This is what we are facing.
Tonight, while I was having dinner with my family someone hit my house violently with a baseball attempting to break the window of my living room. When we went out this is what we found.

This political targeting is ugly. The harassment I’ve been facing for over 4 years now is a reminder of what some of us are facing for our values, ideas & work.
Thank you @vote_thu @pdmt99 for supporting. And CM & Chief Saucier for your help.

While most responses were messages of support to Haxhiaj, one user’s response was brought to the attention of This Week in Worcester.
It’s almost like you don’t belong here. #InvadersGoHome

Three sources with knowledge of local white nationalist groups told This Week in Worcester that the user of this account is an active member in NSC-131, a national socialist group active across New England.
In a response to a direct message on the platform, the user said they were “not with them,, I just appreciate their work.”
This Week in Worcester previously reported on the group’s presence in Worcester.
Haxhiaj’s lineage is Albanian. While Albanians have a unique ethnicity native to the Balkan Peninsula, their race is Caucasian.
