Heavy Rains, Thunderstorms Expected in Worcester on Friday

WORCESTER – The National Weather Service [NWS] has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Worcester area for Friday night.

According to the NWS, bands of heavy rain are expected with thunderstorms with may result in minor flooding.

Showers are expected to begin sometime after 12 PM on Friday with patchy fog. Wind gusts could be as high as 20 MPH. A quarter to a half of an inch of rain is possible.

 
An additional half to three quarters of an inch possible of rainfall is expected late Friday night.
