A consortium of local and state law enforcement agencies formed the Lake Quinsigamond Task Force.
According to a release by the Task Force, its purpose is “ensuring residents and visitors can enjoy land and maritime activities on Lake Quinsigamond in a safe, responsible manner.”
Law enforcement and vessels that comprise the task force include police from Worcester and Shrewsbury and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The Task Force will enforce boating and watercraft violations and ensure legal and safe operation of watercraft. It will also enforce park, boat ramp, and parking rules and regulations. Its crime deterrence operations have a specific focus on boat ramps.
