WORCESTER – Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell’s office has filed a civil complaint in Suffolk County Superior Court against the Nationalist Social Club (NSC-131) and two of its leaders, Christopher Hood and Liam McNeil. This action comes in response to a series of incidents that the Attorney General’s Office deems unlawful and discriminatory, primarily targeting LGBTQ+ community events and hotels sheltering immigrants.

This Week in Worcester first reported the presence of flyers promoting NSC-131 in Worcester February 2020.

The complaint details NSC-131’s attempts to disrupt LGBTQ+ events, specifically Drag Queen Story Hours, which are designed to promote LGBTQ+ inclusivity. NSC-131 announced intentions to shut down such events in New England and subsequently targeted four events in Massachusetts, engaging in alleged attacks and intimidation. These incidents occurred in Boston, Fall River, and Taunton between July 2022 and January 2023.

The complaint also accuses NSC-131 of targeting hotels providing emergency shelter to immigrants on multiple occasions between October 2022 and October 2023. The group allegedly trespassed on hotel properties and intimidated staff and guests, claiming the shelters were part of a “White replacement” plot. These incidents took place in Kingston, Woburn, and Marlborough.

According to the AG’s complaint, at least 2020, NSC-131 has conducted “patrols” in various neighborhoods and public spaces across Massachusetts, often trespassing, vandalizing property, and carrying weapons.

AG Campbell emphasized the severity of these actions, stating, “NSC-131 has actively terrorized people across Massachusetts, infringing on their rights. This complaint is a crucial step in holding the group and its leaders responsible for their unlawful activities.”

The complaint asserts claims for public nuisance, trespass, civil conspiracy, and violations of the Civil Rights Act and Public Accommodations Law.
