MassDOT Hosting Public Hearing on ADA Curb Ramps on Millbury Street in Worcester

WORCESTER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will hold a Live Virtual Design Public Hearing concerning ADA curb ramp retrofits at various locations in District 3, including on Millbury Street in Worcester.

The meeting will take place on Jan. 19 at 6 PM.

The purpose of the hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to learn about and comment on the proposed reconstruction of existing pedestrian curb ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural Access Board (AAB) standards at several locations in Worcester, as well as in other MassDOT District 3 municpalities Framingham, Leominster, Milford, Millville, Northbridge, and Sudbury.

Specific locations to be considered in Worcester include where Millbury Street intersects with:

  • Accommodation Street
  • Burton Street
  • Esther Stret
  • Fifth Avenue
  • Maxwell Street
  • Perry Avenue
  • Vernon Street
