Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early Jr. announced charges against Willie Washington, 22, of Providence, for trafficking fentanyl on Friday, November 27.

Washington’s arraignment on Wednesday, November 25, in Milford District Court came after his arrest the previous day in Milford. Washington allegedly sold fentanyl pills to an undercover ATF agent.

The investigation into Washington included the Massachusetts State Police Narcotics unit attached to Early’s office, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives [ATF], and Milford Police.

A search warrant served on Washington’s residence in Providence led to the discovery of more illegal drugs and four firearms. He faces charges in Rhode Island for the result of the search.

Washington will next be in Milford District Court on December 21.
