STURBRIDGE: Police in Sturbridge are investigating the second smash and grab break-in to a vehicle in the same parking lot in August.

Police responded to a report of an automobile break-in at the “Trek Sturbridge” parking lot, near the Old Sturbridge Village access road, around 10 AM on Tuesday, August 25.

A vehicle with a smashed window was at the scene. The owner of the vehicle reported contents missing from within it.

Another vehicle owner reported a similar vehicle break-in, when a window was smashed and contents stolen, in the same parking lot, on Saturday, August 1.

Police in Sturbridge have asked for information from the public to identify a suspect in the August 1 incident. Police have yet to identify the man in that image.

Sturbridge Police do not have information that indicates the same individual is responsible for both incidents, other than the similar nature of the crimes.
