Worcester Search Warrant Leads to Drug and Gun Charges for 2

WORCESTER – Police served a search warrant on Main Street on Monday, Jan. 22, leading to the arrest of two individuals.

At around 5:50 AM, officers from the Worcester Police Vice Squad gained access to the Main Street apartment that was the subject of the search. During the search, officers located a loaded handgun and what they believed to be cocaine packaged for distribution.

Debric Sweeney, 54, and Shara Latham, 41, of Oxford, were arrested at the scene. Both face charges of:

    • Trafficking in a Class B Substance;
    • Possession of a Firearm without a Firearms Identification (FID) Card;
    • Improper Storage of a Firearm;
    • Use of a Firearm in a Felony; and
    • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
