WORCESTER – The Fix Burger Bar — with locations in Worcester, Marlborough and Leominster — is among eight finalists in the Taste of Massachusetts’ Best Burger Competition.

The Fix stands alone among the other seven competitors on the list as the only burger joint west of I-495.

The Fix is known well across Central Massachusetts for its 40 burger topping options, handmade burgers, shakes and draught beer lineup. It opened its first location in Worcester in 2014 on Shrewsbury St. before moving to its current spot at 108 Grove St.

The Fix opened its second location in Marlborough last fall and its third location in Leominster in October 2020.

Taste of Massachusetts accepted 220 nominees for the competition and open voting started on December 5. The eight top vote earns were announced on Monday.

Taste of Massachusetts described the competition this way: “We are doing this to help give exposure to LOCAL businesses…Given the popularity of take out right now, and the fact that burgers travel well and are even sometimes great the next day or as a late-night snack, burgers make the ideal competition for a peoples choice award.”

Here are the eight finalists in the Taste of Massachusetts’ Best Burger Competition:
  • KKatie’s Burger Bar
  • Idle Hour Quincy
  • Lewis’ Bar and Grill
  • Fix Burger Bar
  • TJ Callahan’s
  • Tessie’s Bar & Kitchen
  • Boston Burger
  • R.F. O’Sullivan’s

Last month, Taste of Massachusetts held a Best Donut competition.
