WORCESTER – A true crime, cold case podcast series exploring the dozens of unsolved murders and missing persons cases currently under investigation by the Worcester Police Department released the first episode of Season 6 on Tuesday.
Unsolved: Worcester is a series of narrative episodes airing every Tuesday over six 10-episode series. The episodes have an average run time of 15 minutes.
Episode 1 of Unsolved: Worcester Season 6 tells the story of the shooting death of 26-year-old Jose Ortiz on Aug. 24, 2016.
Ortiz was shot and killed by an unknown assailant while walking along Elliot Street in Worcester’s Bell Hill neighborhood.

Unsolved: Worcester will return on Oct. 10 with Season 6, Episode 2 and the unsolved missing person case of Charles McArthur.
McArthur disappeared in September 1982. He received a message at home to come to the Italian Kitchen on Shrewsbury Street. He was reportedly escorted out of the restaurant by three men and was never seen again.
Each episode is accompanied by a video program highlighting each victim, where the murders took place or where the missing person was last seen, and other locations important to the case. The videos will feature exclusive aerial views of Worcester from Chasing Daylight Studio. Accompanying videos will be available on the show’s website and on YouTube.
