Happy New Year, Worcester! It’s the first weekend of 2023. How will you spend it?

Begin making memories the very first weekend of January. Treat the family to an afternoon of fun at the skating rink or get a night on the town and rock out to classic rock music. 

 

Honor the King this weekend! 

This Saturday at 8 PM, you won’t help falling in love with a tribute for a rock n’ roll legend. Samuel Slater’s in Webster is holding a celebration for the one and only “King of Rock & Roll,” Elvis Presley.

Award-winning tribute artist Dan Fontaine and the Memphis Sun Mafia Band will be playing all of Elvis’ top hits in honor of his 88th birthday.

Join Big Daddy Collectibles in Southbridge this Saturday for a Pokemon Tournament. Pokemon has been a beloved card game and franchise for decades, so bring your deck and play your heart out at 1 PM.

This is their first ever in-person Pokemon tournament. The limit is only 20, so reserve your spot!

Get in touch with your psychic abilities and learn the art of divination at a Stone Reading Class: An Introduction to Stones and Crystals as a Psychic Tool of Divination.

This class will be held at Lions Gate Spiritual and Wellness Center in Westborough from 10:30 PM to 1 :30 PM. This is an interactive beginner level class on Stone Readings.

Through the use of the five senses and the less obvious sixth sense, students will learn to attune psychically to the energy, history, and personality of stones and crystals. The class is $75. 

 

Skate your way into fun!

Get out on the ice this Saturday and Sunday at the Worcester Common Oval! Bring the family for ice skating.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Oval is open from 1 PM to 6 PM. General admission pricing is $5 for admission and $5 for rentals. Children 5 years old and under skate free.

There is plenty of affordable parking available within walking distance of the Worcester Common Oval, including the underground Worcester Common Garage at 2 Eaton Place, Mercantile Center Parking Garage, Federal Plaza Parking Garage and the Pearl-Elm Parking Garage.

 

Howl at the moon this Saturday! 

Did you know there will be a wolf moon this weekend? Get out in nature and join in on Chestnut Hill in Southborough for their nature walk by Moonlight: Howling at the Wolf Moon.

This event is on Saturday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Although there are not wolves in this area, they do have their close relatives- coyotes! Learn to track these wily animals as well as their wild neighbors such as skunks, squirrels, and raccoons.
