WORCESTER - A winter storm is heading to Worcester and will likely impact the city's Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

According to the National Weather Service [NWS], up to four inches of snow with a mix of sleet and freezing rain is expected to fall in the early evening on Tuesday and last through Wednesday morning.

Higher snowfall totals of six or more inches are expected in Western Massachusetts.

More than one-tenth of an inch of ice is expected to accumulate in the Worcester area over the same period of time.
