WORCESTER – What a difference a year can make.

As ThisWeekinWorcester.com reported last July, Worcester was ranked among the worst places to rent in the country. The personal finance experts at WalletHub ranked Worcester #162 out of 182 rental markets in the country.

On Wednesday, however, WalletHub released their 2020 Best & Worst Places to Rent in America — and Worcester has made quite the leap in the right direction.

According to WalletHub, Worcester ranks #57 out of the 182 cities studied this year — jumping more than 100 spots down in the list from last year.

In the report, WalletHub compared each city across 24 key indicators of rental attractiveness and quality of life.
