Worcester Man Faces Drug, Firearms Charges in Federal Court

WORCESTER – Rodney Hall, 36, of Worcester, faces and indictment in federal court for possession with intent to distribute of cocaine and possession of a firearm on Friday, January 15.

Hall’s arrest on September 30, 2020, came after he allegedly sold 14 grams of crack cocaine for $1,500 to an individual in Worcester. He also had $2,300 in cash, two cell phones and a key to a Mercedes-Benz in his possession.

Law enforcement authorities searched Hall’s residence and seized some 650 grams of cocaine, a 9 mm Beretta semi-automatic pistol, a homemade pistol, ammunition, a digital scale, plastic baggies and approximately $7,000 in cash.

Hall has a previous conviction for possession of a large capacity weapon and trafficking cocaine which prohibits him from possession of a firearm.

With a prior conviction for drug trafficking, Hall faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison for this drug charge. The charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm provides for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
