WORCESTER – Worcester Police Vice Squad officers arrested a local man on drug charges on Thursday, January 13.
Officers conducting surveillance near Murray Avenue and Chandler Street observed a man enter and exit a vehicle within 20 seconds at around 6 PM.
Officers followed the vehicle and saw a woman enter and exit the same vehicle near Salem Street. Officers stopped the woman and discovered what they believed to be heroin.
Officers stopped the vehicle near Canterbury Street and South Crystal Street. Officers discovered based of what they believed to be heroin, cocaine and alparazolam in possession of the driver, Michael Paris, 29, of Worcester.
Paris faces charges of
- Distribution of a Class A Substance (Heroin) 2nd or Subsequent
- Trafficking in a Class A Substance (Heroin) 37-99 Grams
- Trafficking in a Class B Substance (Cocaine) 18-36 Grams
- Possession of a Class E Substance with Intent to Distribute
