WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Department [WPD] announced on Monday morning that the Records Bureau service window at police headquarters would be closed until further notice.
According to the WPD, the service window will be closed temporarily due to a staffing shortage caused by retirements and unexpected absences.
The police hope to have the service window open by next week.
Until the service window reopens, residents can obtain most police reports remotely by following the instructions contained on the City’s website here.
Normal service hours for the WPD records bureau are Tuesday through Thursday from 8 AM to 3 PM.
