WORCESTER – The Worcester School Committee will review a plan at its meeting on Thursday, August 13, that calls for some students to return to in-person instruction starting after the first quarter of the year.

According to the document, 100% remote learning will be provided to all students for Quarter 1.

After the first quarter, students who require the most in-person instructional support, classified as Group C, will be provided in-person learning.

Students in Group A are those with no specially designed instruction in general education classrooms.

Students in Group B are those in general education classrooms and receive specially designed instruction and/or support.

All students will have the option to choose remote learning for the entire school year.

Officials with Worcester Public Schools have not revealed a plan to return students in Group A or B to in-person learning.
