37-year-old Man Shot and Killed on Bicycle in Worcester

WORCESTER – A 37-year-old man was shot on Country Club Blvd. in Worcester on Saturday evening and later died at a local hospital.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], officers were dispatched to the area of 64 Country Club Blvd. around 6:30 PM for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon.

When they arrived, police found the gunshot victim on the ground. He was rushed to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

According to multiple reports, the man was shot while riding his bicycle

WPD Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and do not believe the shooting to be a random act of violence. 

The investigation is ongoing.

Police have yet to release the victim’s name.
