WORCESTER – Two teenagers were arrested on Sunday near the St. Patrick’s parade route.
According to the Worcester Police Department, just before 2 PM, two officers working parade detail were informed there was a person with a gun near Downing Street and Woodland Street. Witnesses told officers two males punched and kicked a man after demanding money.
Witnesses said one of the suspects took out what appeared be a black handgun and pointed it at the victim before running towards Park Avenue.
Officers located two 15-year-old males near Park Avenue and Downing Street who matched the witnesses descriptions. A black replica pellet gun was found on one of the teens.
One of the males was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot), and the other was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery. They will be arraigned in court.
