ArtReach Studios and WooBerry Hosting the Art of Ice Cream

On Thursday, Sept. 19, ArtReach Studios and WooBerry will team up to host “The Art of Ice Cream” art show from 6:30 PM to 9 PM.

The show is inspired by the ice cream art of artist Wayne Thiebaud. 

The event is free and open to the public. Everyone in attendance will be entered into a raffle to win the book, The Ice Cream King by Steve Metzger and lots of other great prizes.

Doherty High Building Committee to Vote on Preliminary Design on Monday

The Doherty High School Building Committee will vote on submitting the school’s preliminary design report to the Massachusetts School Building Authority [MSBA].

The meeting starts at 6:30 PM and is open to the public. 

Agenda: 

  • 6:30-6:40: Introductions
  • 6:40-7:10: Feasability Study Overview & Summary of Preliminary Design Report
  • 7:10-7:20: Steering Committee Recommendations 
  • 7:20-7:50: School Building Committee Questions/Public Questions
  • 7:50- 8: School Building Committee Vote

Revolution Pie & Pint Hosting Friends Trivia Night

On Tuesday, Sept. 24 — in honor of the 15-year mark since the celebrated TV sitcom Friends last aired — Revolution Pie & Pint will hosting a Friends Trivia Night.

Tickets are $35 for a table of up to four guests — but each table will receive a $35 gift card to be used that night at Revolution Pie & Pint.

Worcester’s Preliminary Election is Tuesday, Sept. 10

The preliminary election for Worcester’s City Council At-Large and School Committee candidates is Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The purpose of the election is to narrow the field of candidates down to 12 ahead of the City’s general election in November.. There are currently 15 At-Large candidates and 13 School Committee candidates.
