WORCESTER – At the end of last week, Korean and Hibachi restaurant Choose & Mix donated 100 meals to frontline healthcare workers at Saint Vincent Hospital and UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Choose & Mix Operations Manager, Regina Hermanto, told ThisWeekinWorcester.com, “The purpose of us doing this is because we care for the community and we want to take part in this fight together despite we as a small local business has also been facing struggles too. Thus, by doing this act of love, it is one of the way from us to show that small things matter most.”
Choose & Mix has plans to donate another 50 meals to UMass Memorial on Belmont St.
Hermanto said that Choose & Mix closed for a whole month before reopening last Wednesday, April 22.
Choose & Mix is located at 5 East Mountain St. in Worcester. It’s open 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 8 PM every day except on Tuesdays. It’s available for take-out or delivery through GrubHub and DoorDash.
