WORCESTER – A building on Sudbury Street in downtown Worcester is being converted to 165 loft-style apartments.
The building was purchased last fall for over $3 million by 13 Sudbury Realty LLC, which is registered to Anthony Rossi of Newton, according to the Worcester Business Journal.
Rossi is the developer behind the Walker Lofts in Worcester’s Canal District, which opened earlier this year.
The Castinetti Realty Group will work with Rossi to lease the 165 units. They expect the units to be ready to rent sometime next spring and will include studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The rooms will feature views of downtown Worcester, high ceilings and state-of-the-art appliances.
The Sudbury Street complex will feature several amenities, including five private fitness areas with each having its own Tonal smart gym and a Pelaton treadmill, a large fitness area, a theater room, a recreation room, a business center, a golf simulation room, a common area and bike storage.
Once the Sudbury Street lofts open, Rossi will start construction on a 250-unit residential building in the parking lot on Harvard Street directly across the street from 13 Sudbury St.
