WORCESTER – After a months-long investigation by a DEA Task Force, several local police departments, the FBI, the United States Postal Service and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, four Worcester men were arrested and arraigned for a drug trafficking operation in Worcester.
Attorney General Maura Healey announced on Wednesday that Trevon Appiah, Jeremy Guzman, Hugo Viruet, and Luis Morales, all 23-years-old and residents of Worcester, were arraigned on the following charges:
- Trafficking in fentanyl, 10 grams or more (one count)
- Possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, fentanyl (one count)
- Possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, cocaine (one count)
- Possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug, marijuana (one count)
- Possession with intent to distribute Phencycledine (one count)
- Unlawful possession of a firearm (one count)
- Defacing firearm serial number (one count)
- Improper storage of a firearm (one count)
Authorities seized 100 grams of fentanyl, 19 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of Ecstasy/MDMA, 150 grams of Psilocybin “mushrooms,” six pounds of marijuana, 150 grams of marijuana extract “shatter,” nearly $13,500, and a loaded .38 caliber revolver with a defaced serial number during the course of the investigation.
Bail was set at $7,500 cash for Appiah, $6,500 cash for Guzman, $3,500 cash for Viruet, and $3,500 cash for Morales.
The defendants are due back in Worcester District Court for a probable cause hearing on Wednesday, March 11.
This investigation is ongoing. These charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
