WORCESTER – The weather is warming and the city is buzzing with the songs of summer.
Worcester is an unsung hub for musical events and this summer is filled with unforgettable concerts you won’t want to miss.
The Worcester Palladium is bringing rhythm to the city with rap — On June 7, the Palladium is welcoming the “rap devil,” Machine Gun Kelly, who dissed Eminem’s diss track with his single, Rap Devil. As an actor in movies like Nerve and Bird Box, Machine Gun Kelly will surely give an entertaining performance.
The following night, June 8, another rap artist will take the stage – Tech N9ne. His song, “Speedom”, which features Eminem, truly describes his fast paced rapping style. These two artists are vastly different, but they will both put on amazing shows.
Music lovers will have a difficult decision to make on June 8 — since the very same weekend the DCU Center is hosting the pop group, Pentatonix. This creative a capella group has won three Grammy Awards for their creative covers of popular pop, country, and Christmas songs.
Relive the ‘90s for a night at the Worcester Palladium — On June 28, Bowling for Soup and Reel Big Fish are joining together to put on a real big concert. Their unique styles and alternative rock will make you nostalgic for their firsts hits, but they will also be playing the catchy songs from their newer albums.
Ready for some outdoor concerts in downtown Worcester? So are we.
The Palladium will be hosting a number of outdoor concerts this summer [see list here] and the Sad Summer Festival with The Maine, Mayday Parade, State Champs, The Wonder Years, Four Year Strong, Mom Jeans, Stand Atlantic, and Just Friends on Sunday, July 14.
The Sad Summer Festival will be followed that same evening with Sad Summer Nites — “The Official After Party of the Sad Summer Festival” – Emo Nite, w/ Special Guest DJ sets from Sad Summer Artists.”
Rock out in August!
The Flaming Lips — along with the Claypool Lennon Delirium and Particle Kid — will be performing at the Palladium on Saturday, August 3.
One week later – on August 10 — Papa Roach will be performing at the Palladium. This show should not be a last resort for music lovers. The band has been making music for twenty years and this experienced group will continue to entertain their audiences.
There is so much to look forward to this summer and the concerts in Worcester are bringing even more excitement. The diverse crowds of Worcester will love the variety of artists coming to the community. Whether you are a fan of rap, pop, or rock there is a performance you will want to see.
