WORCESTER – An attempted traffic stop on Lincoln St. during the early evening hours on Saturday, October 3, ended near Eastern Ave. and left two men, Nathan Russell and Omar Molina, facing several weapons related charges.
A Worcester Police officer attempted to stop the vehicle on Lincoln St. shortly before 6 PM. The driver and passenger fled on foot.
More than an hour later, an officer saw both men near Eastern Ave. Both men ran upon seeing the officer. Officers again caught up with both men on Blodgett Place.
Officers located two loaded handguns during a search of the area. They believe Russel and Molina dropped the weapons during the pursuit on foot.
Neither Russell nor Molina have a license to carry firearms in Massachusetts.
Officers arrested both men. Russel and Molina both face several charges:
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
- Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
- Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm
- Disorderly Conduct
- Disturbing the Peace
