Worcester Municipal Building Closure Extended to January 25

WORCESTER – Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus has extended the closing of municipal buildings in the city until Monday, January 25.

The buildings were originally closed to the public on Dec. 24 and scheduled to reopen Monday, January 11.

The closings include:

  • City Hall
  • Worcester Senior Center
  • Worcester Public Library
  • Department of Public Works and Parks offices
  • 25 Meade St., which houses Inspectional Services, Worcester Division of Public Health and Fire Prevention.

Augustus cited the continued increase in cases of COVID-19 in extending the order.

Payment of all municipal bills is available at the City of Worcester website or any People’s United Bank branch.

The City Clerk’s office will offer limited appointments from the City Hall information booth on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Make an appointment online or call (508) 929-1300.
